As he arrives on the island, he is quickly confronted by a powerful Templar force, led by Armand Bouchart. The game begins with Altair being sent to Cyprus by his master Al Mualim. The Templars are looking to gain control of the Holy Land, and only the Assassins can stand in their way. Set in 1191 AD, the game follows the events of the first Assassin’s Creed game.
